Can I Have Changes Made To An RTA Luxury Home Plan?

OK, so you’ve found the perfect luxury home design for you and your family…except for a few little things you’d like to change. Now what?

RTA can handle all of your design changes quickly – since we’re the designers of the plans. All of our plans are produced with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) software, which speeds the process of making changes. Once the changes are complete, we’ll send you new, clean, updated construction drawings.

Alternatively, you may make your own changes once you've purchased one of our package sets of construction drawings, subject to the terms of the license agreement (see "Important Info").

How Much Do Modifications Cost?

RTA offers you two ways to get a quote on alteng our construction drawings:

1) Before you purchase an RTA home plan, contact us with a detailed list of the changes you'd like to make. We'll review your list (we'll contact you if we have any questions) and send you a fee quote. The charge for preparation of a fee quote is $100.

2) Purchase a Study Set and send us your list of changes - we'll prepare your fee quote for no additional charge.

Once we have a clear understanding of your proposed changes, we’ll be able to give you a firm quote. The cost depends upon the impact the change has on the entire set of drawings – the fewer drawings that need to be modified, the less the cost.

Since relatively small changes can affect many drawings in the set, we recommend that you contact us first to discuss how you can keep modification costs reasonable.

How Do I Make Changes For My Local Code Requirements?

The purchase of a set of RTA plans includes a license to modify the drawings for your project (see Important Info for restrictions). You should contact a local professional Architect or Engineer to make changes to meet local codes. If you’re unable to find a qualified person, please contact us and we’ll help you any way we can.
