The Marcelle is another original RTA Plans French Country luxury home, where the luxury is in the casual elegance of the design, inside and out. We'll describe a few of the Marcelle's highlights here, but the great features of this plan are too numerous to list!
The spacious family room has a beamed, vaulted ceiling punctuated with a series of dormers on each side. It flows right into the large kitchen, opens to the front onto a covered porch, and to the back onto a large patio.
A kitchen perfect for gourmet cooking and for entertaining is at the heart of the plan, with two islands, tons of countertop space, and a big walk-in pantry. The dining room is on-axis with the kitchen and family room and builds on the open feel of the center of the house.
Just off the dining room and entry, a cozy hearth room is a perfect hide-a-way from the other living spaces; a study with a grand arched window at the front suits anyone working from home.
The first-floor master suite includes two walk-in closets; each of the three upstainrs bedrooms has it's own private bath and walk-in closet. At the top of the stair, a large loft with an "inglenook" book niche overlooks the family room and is the perfect second study. |
